This beautiful table-top wooden prayer wheel is hand-made by Tibetan artisans living around the Great Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal. The outside of the prayer wheel is hand-painted with auspicious Tibetan drawings while the inside has a fine quality prayer scroll made by monks from the local monasteries.
Spinning of a prayer wheel is believed to spread spiritual blessings and well-being into the entire universe. The most commomly used prayer wheel has the scroll imprinted with the Chenrezig's compassion mantra "om mani padme hum".
